Time to get sappy

My buddy lent me a couple buckets and taps, i drilled a 5/16 hole about an inch and a half into the tree and inserted the taps and hung the buckets from them. A week or so later we had enough to boil down on the stove in a cast iron pot. We got a little under a quart from maybe a gallon and a half of sap. The sweetest syrup i ever tasted. If you got maple trees i recommend giving it a try! los

  2. Word. It is delicious and relatively super easy. More people should be doing this - all those suburbanites with their Maple Trees in their yard. Mini Sugar Revolution.
